Will the widget still work if I change my theme later?
Yes, if it is built the way I build it — as its own small plugin registered with Elementor, not code pasted into your theme's functions.php. Change the theme and the widget keeps working exactly the same.
Can the widget pull in dynamic content, like ACF fields or products?
Yes — wiring a widget to ACF fields, post meta, taxonomy terms or WooCommerce product data is standard, not an extra. It is usually the actual reason a stock widget cannot do the job.
How is this different from Elementor theme customization?
Customization changes how existing pages and templates look and behave. This is code-level work — a brand-new widget added to the Elementor editor's widget panel that did not exist before, available to drag onto any page afterward.
Do I need Elementor Pro for a custom widget?
No — custom widgets can be built against the free version of Elementor. Elementor Pro is only needed if the widget specifically has to use Pro-only features, like certain dynamic tags or Theme Builder integration.
How much does a custom Elementor widget cost?
