Can I Reorder or Favorite Widgets in the Elementor Panel?
How Favoriting Works
The Favorites list is stored per user, so different team members editing the same site can maintain their own personalized shortlist without affecting each other's panel layout. It's purely an organizational convenience — favoriting a widget doesn't change its behavior or settings, only its position and visibility in the panel.
Why This Matters More With Larger Sites
- The widget panel grows substantially once Elementor Pro and any third-party add-on packs are active, making the default full list slower to scan through for commonly used widgets.
- Different roles use different widgets, so a content editor might favorite text and image widgets while a designer favorites layout and animation-heavy ones — the per-user favorites list supports this naturally.
- Search still works alongside favorites, so the panel's search field remains useful for anything not favorited or used infrequently.
Setting Up Favorites
- Hover over a widget in the panel and click its star icon to favorite it.
- Repeat for other frequently used widgets to build a personalized shortlist.
- Unfavorite anytime by clicking the same star icon again.
