Why Is My WooCommerce Account Page Blank?

Why This Happens

The My Account experience isn't a single static page — it's one page containing the [woocommerce_my_account] shortcode, with individual sections (Orders, Downloads, Addresses, Account details) handled through WordPress query-var-based endpoints appended to that page's base URL. Anything that removes the shortcode, breaks the page assignment, or disrupts endpoint routing (commonly a stale permalink structure) can leave the whole experience or specific sections broken.

Common Causes

  • The shortcode accidentally removed from the page during a content edit, or the wrong page assigned as "My Account" under WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced.
  • Stale permalink rewrite rules, the same class of issue behind several other WooCommerce page 404s, breaking the endpoint URLs for specific My Account sections.
  • A theme or page builder wrapping the shortcode in a way that interferes with its own internal navigation and endpoint handling.
  • A plugin conflict (particularly membership, subscription, or custom-account plugins that hook into My Account) breaking a specific section while leaving others functional.
  • Caching serving a stale version of a page that should be dynamic and customer-specific, similar to the checkout caching issue covered elsewhere.

How to Diagnose and Fix It

  1. Confirm the correct page is assigned under WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced, and that it still contains the [woocommerce_my_account] shortcode.
  2. Go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save to refresh rewrite rules, which resolves many endpoint-related issues.
  3. Check for plugin conflicts if a specific section (not the whole page) is broken, using standard plugin-by-plugin isolation.
  4. Confirm My Account is excluded from page caching, since it needs to render fresh, customer-specific content on every load.

Isolating a blank account page

  1. Decide whether the whole page is blank or only one section. A fully blank page points to the page assignment, the shortcode or a fatal error. A single blank section, such as Orders, points to that endpoint or a plugin that adds to it.
  2. Check the page assignment. In WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced, find the My account page and open that page in the editor. It should contain the My Account shortcode or block.
  3. Check the account endpoints. The same Advanced screen lists the endpoint names for orders, downloads and addresses. An empty or duplicated name breaks that section's address.
  4. Read the debug log. A truly white page is often a fatal error that the site is hiding. Enable debug logging temporarily and check the log.
  5. Exclude the page from caching and test again.

Logged out versus logged in

A logged-out visitor should see the login and registration forms on this page. If even those are blank, the shortcode is missing or something is failing before the page renders. If only logged-in customers see a blank page, the issue is in the account sections themselves.
