How Do I Add a Jump Link in Elementor?
How Menu Anchors Work
The Menu Anchor widget itself renders as an invisible marker with a specific ID attribute attached to the page's HTML at whatever position it's placed. Any link elsewhere on the page (or even on a different page, appending the anchor after the page URL) pointing to #that-id triggers the browser's native anchor-jump behavior, which Elementor enhances with smooth scrolling by default.
Common Uses
- A one-page site's navigation menu, jumping between sections like "About," "Services," and "Contact" all on a single long page.
- A "Jump to pricing" or "See features" button at the top of a landing page, scrolling directly to the relevant section further down.
- A table of contents for a long article-style page, jumping to specific headings.
- Linking from a different page, using the format
page-url/#anchor-idto land directly on a specific section after navigating there.
Setting This Up
- Add a Menu Anchor widget at the top of the target section and give it a unique, descriptive ID.
- Link any button, text link, or menu item to
#plus that exact ID. - Test the jump, confirming it lands at the correct scroll position, adjusting for any sticky header offset if needed.
