The ask
A finished design supplied as a PDF, to be rebuilt as a responsive WordPress site the dealership’s team could run.
A German motorhome dealership’s site that arrived as a PDF and had to leave as a working, responsive WordPress build — sales, rental and workshop, rebuilt in Divi 5 with the artwork recovered from the flattened pages.
The ask
A finished design supplied as a PDF, to be rebuilt as a responsive WordPress site the dealership’s team could run.
The build
Every page rebuilt in Divi 5, with the imagery lifted out of the flattened PDF using AI and the responsive behaviour decided at build time.
The outcome
The design shipped as a working site at every width, and the end client was happy with what came back.
THE PROBLEM
The design was signed off before a single line of markup existed, and it arrived flattened: pages as static artwork, imagery baked into the layout, no assets to export, no mobile view, and no note of how any of it should behave at a narrower width. Everything a build actually needs was missing from the thing that had been approved.
THE SOLUTION
I recovered the imagery from the PDF using AI to separate it from the flattened pages, then rebuilt the site in Divi 5 section by section rather than approximating it with a stock layout. The responsive behaviour was the part the PDF could not tell me: every stack order, every reflow and every breakpoint was a decision made against the desktop design, so the phone view reads as the same site rather than a squeezed version of it.
THE STACK
WordPress with Divi 5, because the people who run the dealership needed to change copy and swap vehicle photos themselves without a developer in the loop:
THE RESULT
The approved design shipped as a working responsive site, matching at desktop and holding together at tablet and phone widths the PDF never covered. The end client was happy with the result — which, on an agency job where the design is settled before you start, is the whole measure of the work. The same client has since signed a separate SEO contract for the site, now under way — structural work on brand and location pages. There are no numbers to show for it yet; when there are, they belong here.
“She said she is super super super super happy with the result so far.”
THE SERVICE BEHIND IT
This project came out of my WordPress Development work. That page covers the process in full — what I deliver, how a project runs, and the questions people usually ask before starting one.
